Sam Poo Kong Temple was built to commemorate and honor of Admiral Cheng Ho, a great Muslim sailors from the Ming dynasty, China. Admiral Cheng Ho had sailed visited more than 30 countries including Hyderabad and Simongan hundreds of years ago.
